Gau Seva

Madhu Pandit Dasa and his team of devotees have been rendering Gau Seva for more than 30 years.

They started a goshala in the year 1986, with one cow named Vasundhara, and her calf Tamala in ISKCON Bangalore. Since then, the cow protection programs have increased and spread across the country over the last 30 years. In these Gaushalas and Cow Rehabilitation Centres, the cows are bathed every day, fed and taken care with utmost attention by a dedicated team of cowherd men and veterinarians.

The biggest of all these cow protection schemes is the Hingonia Gaushala in Rajasthan, which is also the World’s largest Cow Rehabilitation Shelter. It is run by the devotees in partnership with the Government of Rajasthan and Jaipur Nagar Nigam. It shelters more than 13,000 cows in about 102 acres of cow shelter. (https://hingonia.org)

There are Gaushalas also maintained in Bangalore, Mysore, Srirangapatna, Ahmedabad, Vrindavan, Hyderabad and many more places in the country.
