Meeting Ashwin Kumar (Aug-2025)
I had the pleasure of receiving the makers of the Mahavatar Narsimha movie Mahavatar Narsimha, who have beautifully animated the lila of Lord Narasimha and His dear devotee Prahlada Maharaj. We had a thoughtful discussion about the film they produced and their upcoming plans.
Movies like these are very powerful; they preserve our ancient heritage, infuse it with cutting-edge technology and speak straight to the heart, especially to the younger generation.
We wish them greater success in their future endeavours and extend our full support to Sri. Ashwin Kumar Baluja, Smt. Shilpaa Dhawan and Hombale Films, and the entire team for this divine contribution to a better world.
Akhanda Maha Japa Yajna (Jun-2025)
On the auspicious occasion of Yogini Ekadashi, we are performing the Akhanda Maha Japa Yajna at ISKCON Vaikuntha Hill, Vasanthapura, with a sincere prayer for world peace.
In this sacred yajna, 1008 devotees will collectively chant more than 18 crore holy names of Lord Krishna through the Hare Krishna Mahamantra and invoke His divine blessings for the peace and well-being of everyone.

First Kitchen in Bihar (Jun-2025)
We are happy to announce the construction of our first Akshaya Patra kitchen in the state of Bihar. The foundation stone laying ceremony was conducted to establish a state-of-the-art centralised kitchen in Patna on June 16, 2025. The event was held in the presence of Sri Bharatarshaba Dasa, Trustee and National President of Akshaya Patra and attended by notable dignitaries and patrons. This kitchen facility will be able to serve 40,000 freshly cooked meals every day. We look forward to working with the CMO of Bihar to provide hot and nutritious mid-day meals under the Poshan Abhiyaan scheme, enabling a bright future for children.
Foundation stone of Kitchen in Assam (Jun-2025)
Our heartfelt thanks to Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma, Hon'ble Chief Minister of Assam, for laying the foundation stone of The Akshaya Patra Foundation's centralised community kitchen in Lakhimpur. The new kitchen, under the PM POSHAN scheme and Samagra Shiksha Mission, will provide nutritious mid-day meals to thousands of school children, boosting school attendance and education across the district. We are grateful for your leadership, support and commitment to inclusive development and making a lasting impact in the lives of children.
25-year court battle has concluded (May-2025)
The 25-year court battle has concluded with the Supreme Court’s verdict affirming that the BDA allotted the temple land to ISKCON Bangalore society in 1988—an independent ISKCON society registered in Bangalore—and that the property and funds to build the temple were raised in Bangalore. ISKCON Mumbai has been injuncted from interfering with ISKCON Bangalore’s management. They can no longer expel the thousands of devotees who accept only Srila Prabhupada as the sole Acharya of ISKCON. ~ 16th May, 2025.
Sri Ramotsava celebrations (Apr-2025)
It was my great honour to be invited to the Sri Ramotsava celebrations by Sri Pejavara Adhokshaja Matha in Punyakshetra Peranankila, Udupi. I was happy to inaugurate “Dharmasabha: Vishwambhara Vedike” - a dharmic discussion panel held as part of the Ramotsava celebrations. This special event took place in the divine presence of HH Sri Vishwaprasanna Teertha Swamiji, Peetadhipati of Sri Pejavara Adhokshaja Matha. Swamiji is a long-time supporter and well-wisher of ISKCON Bangalore.
I also participated in the Dharmasabha as the Chief Guest, alongside many distinguished personalities and esteemed honorees Mahamahopadhyay Vidwan Adhyapady Haridas Bhat, National Awardee, and Dr. Shrinivasa Varakhedi, Vice-Chancellor of Central Sanskrit University, New Delhi. In this programme, I had the opportunity to share that bhakti is not merely sentiment but is backed by vedanta. I also highlighted how Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, through the Brahma Madhva Gaudiya tradition, applied the teachings of Sripada Madhvacharya and preached the sublime process of Harinama Sankirtana to everyone.
Meeting His Holiness Sri Sugunendra Teertha Swamiji (Apr-2025)
Today, I had the good fortune of visiting Sri Krishna Matha in Udupi and receiving darshan of Sri Balakrishna, the beloved Deity of Sri Madhvacharya. I also had the privilege of meeting His Holiness Sri Sugunendra Teertha Swamiji, Peetadhipati of Sri Puthige Matha, who is currently serving his historic fourth Paryaya - an exceptional achievement possible only for an elevated Vaishnava who is very dear to the Lord. Swamiji’s exemplary life of purity, discipline, and unwavering dedication to the service of Sri Krishna and the propagation of His divine message is deeply inspiring. We remain grateful for Swamiji's continued encouragement of our temple’s activities.

We thank Ms Akshata Murty, former First Lady of the United Kingdom, for visiting our Akshaya Patra kitchen in Watford, UK and interacting with the young beneficiaries of the Hot Meals and Homework programme. We are deeply grateful to the former Prime Minister of the United Kingdom
Sri Rishi Sunak and his wife, Ms Akshata Murty, for supporting our various social welfare initiatives.
We also extend our special gratitude to Sri Narayana Murthy, Smt Sudha Murty and their family for being an integral part of Akshaya Patra’s journey and helping us grow from feeding thousands to millions of children every day.
